Visit the Transportation website to learn about commuting options and obtain relevant parking permits 

Review a campus map to locate relevant buildings and parking lots  

Set up your office voicemail, email and workstation if it is not already set up for you   

Create a password and login ID for the At Your Service website

Submit your BruinCard "Terms & Conditions" form

Get fingerprinted if required

Sign up for New Employee Orientation

Determine if you are a policy-covered employee or represented by an exclusive bargaining agent (union)  

Learn about your vacation and sick leave accruals

Visit and peruse the Campus Human Resources website

Read about and analyze your Benefits Package

Enroll in benefits within your Period of Initial Eligibility (PIE) - 31 days after your hire date

Check your medical plan ID card when it arrives to be sure it reflects your benefits choices

Review your first paycheck to be sure it reflects your health and welfare choices, payroll deductions, personal information and more

Check the UCLA Directory to make sure your name and department information is correct

Learn what to do in case of an emergency on campus
