Whether you are a student, faculty or staff member, carpooling can save you time and money. You save time when you share the ride in freeway carpool lanes. By sharing the cost of a gas and other car-related expenses, you save money.

Use Zimride, a Facebook application, to find one-time rides or create a carpool with fellow Facebook users. To address concerns about privacy, UCLA Transportation has made it possible for Facebook users who registered with their ucla.edu email addresses to limit their searches on Zimride to those within the UCLA network.

When you form a carpool or join an existing one, then apply together for a reduced fee UCLA carpool parking permit and you'll really get more smiles-per-gallon.
