Administrative Information Systems (AIS) will be taking a furlough day on Wednesday November 25, 2009. Normal hours of availability for AIS services and systems have been modified for that period. If you need further information, please contact the AIS Help Desk at (310) 206-6951.
Administration
- AIS offices will be closed.
- AIS LAN will be up with standard weekend coverage.
Business Applications
The AIS offices will be closed but online services (Bruin Buy, Payroll, Pan, Financial Web, etc.) will be operating on a normal schedule. Batch will run Wednesday night. Batch will not run Thursday or Friday. AIS staff will be available off site on an on-call basis for resolution of application problems or issues.
Middle Ware
- ISIS/Shibboleth: off-site coverage based on a call or page from Operations
Data Warehouse
- QDB/CDW (Cognos): equivalent of weekend coverage. If there is a production problem, QDB team will respond, but no user support will be available.
- AIS DBA on call for production problems.
Data Center
- Operations and the Help Desk will be staffed to support daily production activity and to handle daily production printing from MDDS. MDDS will continue provide courier service to Wilshire Center for check delivery.
- There will be a Job Scheduling analyst on call for the Data Center. Operations will handle storing daily reports. No output will be delivered to Murphy Hall unless previously arranged otherwise output will be delivered on Monday, November 30, 2009.
- All other support functions (storage management, ACF2 support, RDS support, etc.) will be "on call" if a PRODUCTION PROBLEM occurs. No logon IDs will be set up and there will be no security training scheduled during this time. The offices will be closed but normal computer services will be operating. Staff is available off site on an on-call basis for resolution of application problems or issues. Applications (with the exception of Transfer of Funds and dependent on OASIS availability) Sunday 6 p.m. – Tuesday 1 a.m., Tuesday – Saturday 4 a.m. – 1 a.m. Transfer of Funds is dependent on PAN availability (midnight - 9 p.m.). Web Reports (OFSR) will be up 24/7.
Student Applications
The AIS offices will be closed but normal computer services (OASIS, URSA, nightly batch processing, and reporting) will be operating. AIS staff is available off site on an on-call basis for resolution of application problems or issues.
Systems, Network, Architecture & Planning
Designated staff will be on call to cover emergencies that come up and to monitor actions such as the scheduled bank transmissions.
Note: Application availability windows may be different for UC Merced and UCOP. Users at these locations should check with their respective help desks for information regarding application availability.
