Details:
The focus of this Risk Management Seminar will be on workplace safety compliance, preventing work injuries and maintaining a safe work culture.
Background:
There were 629 workplace injuries, caused by sitting, walking and lifting in FY 05-06 which could have been prevented. These injuries caused employees to be off from work for 21,757 days. The cost of these injuries to date, for disability benefits paid to employees when they cannot work and for medical treatment, is $6,367,560. In FY 07-08 there were 813 of these preventable injuries.
