Endowed Child Chair Program The Endowed Child Chair Program is a unique opportunity modeled after the academic concept for endowments. Each chair serves as a living celebration of many lives, for an Endowed Child Chair bears either the name of the donor or an outstanding individual whom the contributors wish to honor. Anna Bing Arnold inaugurated the program in 1980 by endowing the first Child Chair. Each Endowed Child Chair represents a tax-deductible gift of $5,000 or more which can be given in a single payment or pledged over a five-year period. Chair monies are invested by the UCLA Foundation and annual dividends accrue to UCLA Early Care and Education programs. Each Endowed Child Chair donor is presented with a hand-crafted, inscribed miniature wooden child’s chair, specially made for Early Care and Education. In addition, as a token of our lasting gratitude, a plaque will be mounted in acknowledgement of the donor’s generosity and concern for children. We welcome your endowment of a Child Chair to help us continue our vital work. Stepping Into the Future With UCLA Early Care and Education The path leading to the Krieger Center is distinguished by the beautiful pink granite stones engraved with the names of special friends of UCLA Early Care and Education. If you would like to perpetuate UCLA's commitment to model child care, we invite you to purchase a Stepping Stone on this pathway to honor the people or business of your choice. The stones are engraved with one-inch Roman lettering and are available in three sizes: | 6 X 12 inches with two lines of lettering | $1,000 | | 12 X 12 inches with three lines of lettering | $2,000 | | 12 X 24 inches with four lines of lettering | $3,000 | Payments can be made in installments. We welcome your gift of a Stepping Stone to help us continue our work.
