Patient Parking

Parking is in great demand at UCLA and in the surrounding area. UCLA has several patient and visitor parking facilities that are conveniently located adjacent to the hospital and outpatient clinics, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can pay by cash, American Express, Discover Card, MasterCard or Visa.

Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center (RRUCLAMC), Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA and Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA

Patients and visitors should use the valet parking available at the main entrance, 757 Westwood Plaza. Valet parking is available 24 hours per day. To retrieve your vehicle, take the east parking elevator, located on Level 1 across from the Meditation Room, to Level P.

100 Medical Building and 200/300 Medical Plaza Parking

UCLA Parking Services has implemented a pay-on-exit system in the patient parking areas for the 100, 200 and 300 Medical Buildings located on Westwood Plaza just north of Le Conte Avenue; 200 and 300 Medical Plaza patients may also enter via Gayley Avenue. When you enter, pull a ticket, park and then take the ticket with you. When you are ready to leave, you must pay at a Pay Station before you return to your vehicle or at the exit kiosk upon leaving. See table below for the exit kiosk hours of operation. Payment is required at all times. Parking Pay Stations are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week (After hours assistance is available via the intercom at the exit column.)

Jules Stein Eye Institute & Doris Stein Eye Research Center

The parking entrance for both the Jules Stein Eye Institute (100 Stein Plaza) and Doris Stein Eye Research Center (200 Stein Plaza) is found as you turn onto Stein Plaza from Westwood Plaza, one block north of Le Conte Avenue. Here, patients pay for parking upon entry.

Parking for Patients & Visitors with Disabilities

Accessible parking is available next to the elevators and building entrances. Complimentary self-parking is available for Medical Plaza (MP) or Medical Building (MB) patients with valid DMV-issued Disabled Placard/License Plates. Be sure to show your placard at the MP or MB exit kiosks when you leave (UCLA Faculty, Staff and Students are not eligible for complimentary parking.) After-hours assistance is available via the intercom at the exit column.

Parking at the Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center (RRUCLAMC) is by valet only, to maximize the number of spaces. Self-parking is not available there. Patients with a valid DMV-issued Disabled Placard/License Plate pay a $3 daily fee to park at RRUCLAMC.

Long-term Parking

Should you or your visitors need parking over an extended period of time, consider purchasing a 10 or 25 consecutive-day discounted parking permit for the Medical Plaza, Medical Building or CHS parking areas (please note these permits are not valid for Valet Parking at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center). These long-term permits require authorization which may be obtained at the Patient Affairs office. Patient Affairs is located on the first floor of the hospital near the Westwood Plaza entrance, in room 1107 or on the first floor of 200 Medical Plaza adjacent to the information desk; hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Contact Patient Affairs for more information. Upon approval, you may purchase the permits at the Medical Plaza and Medical Building exit booths or at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center Parking Cashier located on Level P.

Note: Those seeking long-term parking permits for the Jules Stein Eye Institute, Doris Stein Eye Research Center or Center for Health Sciences (CHS) may obtain information from Patient Affairs.

Trailer & RV Parking

All UCLA parking structures and lots were designed for commuter vehicles. UCLA is not set up for Recreation Vehicles and has no hook-ups. However, as a courtesy to patient family members/visitors UCLA allows very limited RV parking for RVs up to a maximum of 22 feet in length. This RV parking area is located in Lot 36 on the corner of Wilshire and Veteran (see RV Parking PDF for specific locations within Lot 36). These RV parking spaces are very scarce and space is not guaranteed.

Note: Vehicles exceeding 22 feet in length cannot be accommodated at UCLA.

RVs Fees up to 22 Feet
Daily $20/day
25 Consecutive Day (2) Permit $200

How to Avoid Parking Citations

Vehicles parked in areas not designated for parking or in spaces reserved for individuals with disabilities (unless you have a valid Disabled Person’s license plate or placard), physicians, Held Properties, disabled persons, loading zones, University Vehicles or spaces otherwise reserved are subject to citation. If you receive a citation go to Medical Plaza Patient Affairs in 200 Medical Plaza for assistance.
