Did you know that people who switch their commute mode from driving to public transit lose approximately seven pounds in the first year? UCLA is served by a total of six public transit providers that offer local, express and rapid express service. If you are a student, staff or faculty member, UCLA Transportation will subsidize 50% of your transit pass fare.

UCLA is a Bicycle Friendly University. Nearly all public buses coming to UCLA/Westwood have bicycle racks so you can bike to your neighborhood bus stop, ride the bus here and then bike where you need to be on campus.

Carpool

 Save money by carpooling to or from campus. With Zimride you can find one-time rides or create or join a carpool to campus with fellow Bruins within the UCLA community. You can save even more with a discounted UCLA Carpool Parking Permit.

If you are a UCLA student, staff or faculty member and commute to campus using one of the modes above, you may be eligible to join the Bruin Commuter Club (BCC)! The BCC provides special access to products, services, information, benefits and incentives.
     
UCLA is a designated Best Workplace for Commuters UCLA meets the National Standard of Excellence in commuter benefits—a standard created by the National Center for Transit Research (NCTR) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)—and has been designated a "Best Workplace for Commuters."

Hop on board one of our free BruinBuses that loop through much of campus. You can even use your mobile phone to find out when the next shuttle will arrive.

FlyAway

Ride the Westwood FlyAway to and from LAX for your next flight. The FlyAway airport shuttle offers hourly direct service to and from LAX and short/long-term parking options in partnership with UCLA.
   

Amtrak Thruway Service

   Amtrak Thruway service is a dedicated bus connection to the Van Nuys or Bakersfield Amtrak stations. UCLA students can also receive a 20 percent discount off best available Amtrak fares.
