Follow the steps below to configure your laptop to connect to the wireless network UCLA_SECURE_RES.

Please note that these instructions are only for Windows XP users.

1. Select the wireless network UCLA_SECURE_RES and connect to it.

2. Go to Control Panel->Network Connections and select the wireless adapter you are using. Right click and select "Properties."

3. Under the "Wireless Networks" tab, select UCLA_SECURE_RES and click on properties.

4. In the next window, select the Authentication tab. Choose WPA2 for Network Authentication.

5. Next, select the Authentication tab. Make sure "Enable IEEE 802.1x…" is checked. Under EAP type, select "Protected EAP (PEAP)".

6. Click the Properties button. Uncheck the Box next to "Validate server certificate." Under "Select Authentication Method," choose "Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)."  Then, click the Configure button.

7. Uncheck the box that says "Automatically use my Windows logo name and password…".  Click on OK.

8. Click ok back through all the Windows that are open, and the reconnect to the UCLA_SECURE_RES network.

Sign in using your UCLA Logon. Leave the "Logon domain" field blank.
