As one of four personnel & payroll service centers in Administration, the General Services Personnel & Payroll Office provides services for over 1400 active employees in five departments including Facilities Management.
Facilities Management employs over 1000 people in service, technical, clerical, skilled crafts and professional classifications. The GS Service Center coordinates all departmental personnel matters, acting as liaison between Facilities Management and Campus Human Resources.
The GS Service Center generates accurate and timely compensation for Facilities Management staff and ensures compliance with University pay policies including collective bargaining agreements.
The GS Service Center assists line managers in the recruitment and selection of staff, classification of positions, employee and labor relations matters and all health and welfare issues.
