Students with a DMV disabled person's parking placard or license plate must also obtain a UCLA-issued parking permit. Permits are available to qualified students with verified permanent and temporary mobility-related disabilities and are available through the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD). Please contact the OSD Mobility Assistance Coordinator to arrange for this service.
- Students without a DMV placard or license plate may also be eligible for a disability permit. Be sure to discuss your situation with the OSD.
- Students with a DMV placard or license plate must present a state-issued receipt to the OSD.
Students with a UCLA Parking Permit and DMV Placard/License Plate
When displaying both the permit and DMV license plate or placard you may park in any legal parking stall except passenger loading or commercial loading spaces.
Students with a UCLA Disabled Parking (DP) Permit Only
DP permits are not valid to park in:
Stalls reserved for the disabled
Metered stalls and pay by space stalls
“X” [Preferred] Permit stalls before 4:30 p.m. on weekdays
Loading Zones (unless you display a loading zone permit obtained from an Information & Parking Booth)
Visitor stalls before 4:30 p.m. on weekdays
Patient stalls
- Stalls that are posted as restricted or reserved “at all times”
Aisles and areas not specifically marked as parking stalls
Misuse of a Disabled Placard
Parking Services is committed to assisting disability placard and permit holders in utilizing accessible parking on campus. We need your help in protecting campus parking spaces for legitimate permit holders and stopping placard misuse. Report any misuse of a disabled placard by calling the Disabled Placard (DP) Hotline at (310) 825-9555.
