Videoconference support is available almost anywhere on campus, as well as from dedicated facilities that can accommodate conferences of from one to forty people. Do you want to bring in a guest speaker for your students, but the scholar you have in mind doesn't plan to be in Los Angeles during the quarter? The Office of Instructional Development (OID) can help you arrange a live videoconference for your class, right in your general assignment classroom. They'll work with you and your guest to handle the technical logistics, give you tips on interacting via videoconference, and as long as it's for a regularly scheduled undergraduate class, there's no charge! OID operates two fixed facilities at UCLA for videoconferencing, but with IP Videoconferencing to GO, any of our almost 200 classrooms with Internet access can be venues for videoconferencing, resulting in more convenience for students and faculty and more seamless integration of videoconferencing into the teaching and learning experience. -
