Go Metro Transit

UCLA Transportation subsidizes 50% of the cost of a quarterly Go Metro "TAP" pass.

A "TAP" pass is good on both Metro Bus and Metro Rail services.

Metro Rapid bus lines can get you to your destination up to 25% faster than local bus services.

Get to UCLA or get around town with Metro Bus and Metro Rail lines. Commuting to campus for classes or work? The Go Metro transit pass gives UCLA riders the convenience of an unlimited quarterly pass at a significantly reduced fare. Living on campus? A Metro Bus line is always around the corner at UCLA, making it easy to get from campus to museums, nightlife, restaurants and more.

Eligibility
Students are eligible if they are currently enrolled for the academic quarter, as verified by the UCLA Registrar's Office. Faculty and Staff are eligible if they work on the UCLA campus and are employed 40% or more time. You must have a valid UCLA BruinCard before you can apply, because your new Go Metro pass will use the BruinCard picture on file. You are not eligible to receive a subsidized Go Metro pass if you are a member of a UCLA Vanpool.

The pass is the property of Metro and can be confiscated if used for purposes other than intended.

Renewing Online
Once you have your Go Metro Pass, go online at the beginning of the new sales period and sign-up for the next quarter. Within 3 business days, the new fare will be electronically loaded onto your existing TAP card. You must TAP on the bus or rail for the fare download to activate. Make sure to print out your receipt and confirmation number when you renew online.
