BruinGo! Transit Program

Flash Passes are now only sold online, and you must have a Bruin Online (BOL) account to complete the transaction. To purchase a Flash Pass, please click on the related link to the right.

Big Blue Bus has more than 15 different routes, including seven which come to campus. Use BruinGo! to get from campus to popular destinations like Third Street Promenade.

Culver CityBus has eight routes serving many Westside communities, including the new Line 6 Rapid, which provides faster service to UCLA all the way from the Metro Green Line station near LAX to UCLA, mainly on Sepulveda Blvd.

BruinGo! works on both the Santa Monica Big Blue Bus (BBB) and on the Culver CityBus (CCB). With your valid BruinCard, you board the bus, swipe your card through the fare-box, deposit a 25 cents co-payment and ride. UCLA Transportation subsidizes each trip you make, and there is never a charge to your BruinCard. Both BBB and CCB have frequent service throughout the day to campus. If you are a regular rider, it is even more convenient when you pre-pay the co-payment with a Flash Pass (see below).

Eligibility

All currently enrolled UCLA students and current UCLA staff and faculty with a valid BruinCard may participate in BruinGo! and have unlimited access to any Santa Monica Big Blue Bus (BBB) or Culver City Bus (CCB). Note: Certain BruinCard holders, like visiting scholars, volunteers and affiliates will not qualify for BruinGo! because their card validation will not show current registration or employment status.

Flash Pass Makes it even Easier

Good news for frequent riders and daily commuters! A Flash Pass is a prepaid co-payment card that you, as a UCLA Student, Staff or Faculty member, can purchase if you do not also have a valid UCLA parking permit. Instead of dropping a 25 cents in the fare-box each time you board, buy one co-payment card that’s good for the entire academic quarter. Just show the Flash Pass card to the bus driver, and swipe your BruinCard when you board. The cost for each academic quarter is $22.50.

Note: Flash Passes are now only sold online, and a Bruin Online (BOL) is required for purchasing a Flash Pass. After purchasing your Flash Pass online, it will be ready for pick-up in the UCLA Transportation lobby after noon the next business day. To purchase a Flash Pass, please click on the related link to the right.

Special accommodations will be made at the UCLA Transportation Lobby cashier windows for seniors 62+ and disabled customers (seniors 62+ may also purchase online).
